LF, a lifestyle and culture company, said on April 2 that it has reopened Raum at the Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam location following a renovation.
Raum, LF’s flagship curated shop, is being repositioned as a platform that discovers and nurtures global emerging brands. LF is transforming Raum from a traditional retail space into a full-fledged brand incubation platform.
The Gangnam outpost has delivered steady results: thanks to its distinctive brand curation, Raum posted approximately 20% year-over-year sales growth last year. Its core customer base remains shoppers in their 30s to 50s, while recent signings of emerging labels have also drawn more visitors in their 20s to 30s.
The renovated Raum at Shinsegae Gangnam presents roughly 50 brands for the 26SS season, including 14 import brands that Raum exclusively carries. Notable new additions include IRENISA and DL1961, up-and-coming global labels known for their clear, refined aesthetics.
LF doesn’t just bring brands into the store — it develops them step by step. For example, Italian luxury label forte_forte was introduced to Korea through Raum and later opened its own standalone shop, illustrating the platform’s role in nurturing brand growth.
An LF spokesperson said, \"Raum is a platform that introduces global emerging brands early and connects them to growth. We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the imported fashion market by discovering and curating differentiated brands that match domestic consumers’ increasingly sophisticated tastes and standards.\"
