Last year’s blush craze hasn’t cooled off. After cream and liquid formulas that deliver a glowy, dewy finish dominated the conversation, spring launches are leaning toward powder and “blur” textures that give a soft, matte or subtly porcelain look.
Color cosmetics brand BBIA pre-launched its NEW Chaltteok Blush on its official online store on the 16th. Developed over seven months with a consumer development team, the jelly-texture formula comes with an integrated silicone puff. It’s offered in eight shades and priced at 15,000 KRW (approximately 11.25 USD). For the opening promo, two-piece and three-piece sets are discounted to 15,000 KRW (approximately 11.25 USD) and 19,900 KRW (approximately 14.93 USD), respectively.
To celebrate its 22nd anniversary, BBIA is hosting a pop-up at its BBIA in Seongsu flagship near Seongsu Station in Seoul through the 22nd. Styled as a birthday café to mark the milestone, the event features special pop-up discounts and other promotions.
Espoir, part of the Amorepacific Group, has also rolled out a new blush. Last month the brand launched six shades of its Blur Wear Blush, co-developed with popular beauty YouTuber Minsco, who has 730,000 subscribers.
The powder uses Amorepacific’s patented Pore-Blanket Powder technology, which Espoir says helps even out pores and skin texture for a smoother finish.
One shade in the line, the coral-beige “Cortado,” was previously offered as a free gift in an Espoir set. Strong consumer demand prompted the brand to release it as a standalone shade this time around.
