[Point Economy] Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province will host the 25th Children’s Festival at the Ilhae Park outdoor stage on May 5, starting at 9:30 a.m., to celebrate the 104th Children’s Day.

The festival’s theme is “Happy Children, Respected Children.”

Organizers designed the 25th festival to give children a variety of hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore their dreams and talents freely.

The Hapcheon Junior Chamber is organizing the event with support from Hapcheon County, the Hapcheon Office of Education and Haeinsa Temple. The day will feature lively performances and interactive activities.

The program opens with a pre-ceremony performance and continues with a commemorative ceremony, a community stage and side events. Popular magician Ryu Seung-ho will present a dazzling show that consistently delights children.

The Dong-Eui University Taekwondo demonstration team will offer a dynamic routine that blends grace and power, engaging audiences of all ages.

Gift giveaways and prize raffles placed throughout the venue will add to the festival’s fun.

Nine hands-on booths will run activities such as stilt performances with magic balloons, face painting and tornado-potato giveaways.

About 20 information booths — including Hapcheon Fire Station (CPR training), the Facilities Management Corporation (block-building kit activities), and the Gyeongsangnam-do Hapcheon Office of Education (coloring-book stations) — will give children a wide range of experiences.

The president of the Hapcheon Junior Chamber said, “I hope our children feel how valuable they are and have a day to freely pursue their dreams. We will prepare thoroughly so Hapcheon’s children can laugh, enjoy themselves and take home happy memories with their families.”
