[SPOTV News — Jamsil, Yoon Wook-jae] Doosan rallied for a comeback win and narrowly avoided a three-game sweep.

The Doosan Bears beat the LG Twins 3-2 on May 7 at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium in a 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League matchup.

LG’s lineup from 1–9 was: Hong Chang-gi (CF), Shin Min-jae (2B), Austin Dean (1B), Oh Ji-hwan (SS), Song Chan-ui (DH), Park Hae-min (CF), Goo Bon-hyeok (3B), Park Dong-won (C), Lee Jae-won (LF). Anders Tolhurst took the hill as their starter.

Doosan started Choi Min-seok and batted Park Chan-ho (SS), Daz Cameron (RF), Park Jun-soon (2B), Yang Eui-ji (DH), Ahn Jae-seok (3B), Kim Min-seok (LF), Jung Soo-bin (CF), Kim Ki-yeon (C), and Park Ji-hoon (1B) in the 1–9 spots.

LG struck first in the second. With one out, Park Hae-min walked and stole second to rattle Doosan’s battery. Goo Bon-hyeok followed with a walk to create a one-out, bases-loaded opportunity, and Park Dong-won’s ball dropped in front of the right fielder, allowing Park Hae-min to score and put LG up 1-0.

Fueled by Tolhurst’s strong outing, LG carried that 1-0 lead through the seventh, and Tolhurst returned for the eighth.

Doosan flipped the script in the eighth. Leadoff hitter Kim Min-seok singled to center and Jung Soo-bin drew a walk. Pinch-hitter Jo Soo-haeng laid down a successful sacrifice bunt to bring runners to second and third with one out, and Park Ji-hoon followed with an RBI single to left to put Doosan ahead 2-1.

LG turned to lefty Ham Deok-ju to relieve Tolhurst, but Doosan added an insurance run when Park Chan-ho drew a walk and Park Jun-soon delivered an RBI single to right, stretching the lead to 3-1.

LG answered in the bottom of the eighth. Austin Dean opened with a triple to right-center and, after Oh Ji-hwan’s grounder was misplayed into a fielder’s choice at third, LG had runners at the corners with no outs. Song struck out, but Park Hae-min’s infield hit to first allowed Dean to score and cut the deficit to 3-2. Cheon Seong-ho then walked to load the bases with two outs, but Lee Jae-won grounded out to short, ending the threat.

In the ninth, with one out and a runner on first, Daz Cameron robbed a hit with a picture-perfect, game-saving catch to snuff LG’s comeback attempt. Lee Young-ha worked the ninth for the save.
