The Incheon City Council on March 27 elected Yoon Jae-sang (People Power Party·Ganghwa County) as chair of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee for the second half of its ninth term.
During the first session of the council’s 307th extraordinary meeting, the Budget and Accounts Special Committee approved a motion to appoint Yoon as chair for the committee’s second term.
The committee elected Yoo Seung-bun (People Power·Yeonsu District 3) as first vice chair and retained Lee Sun-hak (Democratic Party·Seo District 5) as second vice chair.
The vote followed the resignation of former chair Kim Jong-bae, who stepped down to run for mayor of Michuhol District.
Committee members at the meeting praised Yoon’s extensive legislative experience and policy expertise.
“My term is short, but the responsibility is substantial,” Yoon said. “I will perform my duties without interruption to ensure the ninth Incheon City Council concludes its work successfully.”
