The Democratic Party has nominated Kim Won-ki as its candidate for mayor of Uijeongbu.
On April 26, the Democratic Party’s Gyeonggi Provincial Election Committee released the results of the 12th primary, confirming Kim as the party’s official nominee for Uijeongbu mayor.
Kim secured the nomination after winning a runoff against former Uijeongbu mayor Ahn Byung-yong.
The party also announced its nominees for four seats in the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly.
