Ayane‘s Journey: How Osaka’s Comfort Food Eases Pregnancy Nausea

사진=아야네 [Herald Muse=image reporter] Ayane flew to Japan for a babymoon — and to indulge in the comfort foods she’s been craving.

The Japanese-born Ayane, who is married to singer-actor Lee Ji-hoon, recently wrote, “A pregnant woman who flew to Osaka just to eat….” She explained, “Since the very start of this pregnancy I’ve had morning sickness and have been longing so much for the flavors of my hometown.”

She added, “Most Japanese dishes are available in Korea, but they taste a little different than what I grew up eating. I kept thinking that if I could just have that exact taste, my morning sickness would disappear. That craving grew and grew until I realized I had to come right away.”

Ayane went on, “Living abroad hasn’t been that hard overall, but the past few weeks have been really tough. My husband said he’d look after Ruhee and told me to go, so I’m in Osaka now.” She shared, “Eating what I wanted, one bite at a time, made my nausea fade — I almost forget I even had morning sickness!”

“While I’m here I’m shopping, catching up with a friend, and enjoying myself… but I do miss my husband and Ruhee a little,” she added.

The newly released photos show Ayane traveling alone to Osaka for her babymoon.

Lee Ji-hoon commented, “I’ll do anything that makes you happy,” showing his affection.

Lee Ji-hoon married Ayane, who is 14 years his junior, in 2021. They have one daughter. After suffering two miscarriages earlier this year, the couple drew attention when they announced they are expecting a second child.
