On April 28, the county staged the project’s first official event: a stylish wedding photoshoot on Jodo. Influencer couple Yoon Seola and Lee Byung-wook starred in the shoot, posing against the island’s dramatic cliffs and silvery sea for a fresh, original bridal spread.
The released images, which spotlight Jodo’s pristine landscape and slightly exotic vistas, have already captured wide attention.
Observers note that the shoot’s sentimental, nature-forward styling really amplified Jodo’s appeal as a wellness getaway.
The project’s centerpiece is a private eco wedding set for June 14.
Namhae County is designing premium, eco-conscious ceremonies for just two couples and is currently accepting applications.
Couples selected will receive wedding décor inspired by Jodo’s natural setting and an editorial-style photoshoot by a professional photographer. Guests will be welcomed with kits featuring Namhae specialties and carefully curated keepsakes.
The day will also include a small concert, catered dining, and other curated programs. Framed by Jodo’s tranquil scenery, organizers say the event aims to offer more than a ceremony—it’s meant to be a memorable travel-style wedding experience.
A county official said, “By using Jodo’s beautiful natural environment for this eco-wedding project, we hope to create new tourism offerings and help revitalize the local economy. We will continue developing Jodo into a premier wellness tourism island in South Korea.”
