Hyundai Motor Group announced on May 6 that its HMG Driving Experience 2026 season will run at the HMG Driving Experience Center in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, from May 9 through December 6. Since opening in September 2022, the center has offered hands-on driving programs from Hyundai and Kia.

This year’s lineup is more finely tuned by skill level, with options for beginners, experienced drivers and families—so everyone can find a program that fits.

The beginner-level Basic Drive is split into Light and Plus. The Plus option adds roughly 40 minutes of on-road driving. Completing Light and Plus helps new drivers build confidence in city driving, parking and tougher conditions like wet roads.

There’s also a new advanced program. Built around Hyundai’s high-performance N brand, the N Track Performance course runs about 8 hours and 30 minutes. Participants get behind the wheel of cars like the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N to try wet-surface drifting, high-speed runs and advanced cornering. The curriculum also includes record-line driving, vehicle weight-transfer drills and video and data analysis for professional-level coaching.

Kia is launching an off-road program that uses the Tasman pickup. The new Tasman Experience takes participants over gravel, mud and water crossings, while the existing Tasman Intensive program pairs off-roading with camping for a weekend-ready adventure.

Guests can also test-drive a range of the latest electric and high-performance models from Hyundai, Kia and Genesis. Vehicles on offer include the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, and the Genesis GV60 Magma.

Family-friendly offerings have been expanded too. A new package—called Package Taxi—lets adults and kids choose two of four courses (dry road, wet road, high-speed course and off-road) to experience together. Camping-plus-EV test-drive programs will use spacious models like the EV5 and PV5 to showcase practical everyday versatility.

For kids, the Junior Driving Experience includes building model cars and basic coding workshops. A simulator zone provides virtual driving sessions to spark curiosity and skills in a safe environment.

The center also includes family conveniences such as a nursery and a kids’ lounge. In the kids’ lounge, children can digitally bring their designed cars to life and drive them in an interactive experience.

The HMG Driving Experience Center has welcomed 64,000 visitors to date. Program reservations and details are available on the official website.
