
Since early this morning, several floors in Building A of the Guwol-dong complex in Namdong-gu, Incheon have been without water, leaving residents inconvenienced.
Gyeonggi Ilbo’s reporting indicates the outage began around 8 a.m. and remains ongoing. The complex contains 860 households.
Residents have gone nearly 10 hours without water, creating major disruption.
Resident Kim (35) said, “I couldn't wash this morning. I planned to shower after work, but I was told there's still no water.” He added, “The management office isn't answering calls and hasn't resolved the problem. It's very frustrating.”
The complex confirmed the outage was caused by a malfunction of an internal pressure-boosting pump, and repair crews are working to fix it.
A municipal waterworks bureau official said that because some units in the same complex continue to receive water, a failure in the city supply is unlikely. If only a specific building is affected, the official added, the problem likely lies with the complex's internal plumbing, and the apartment management should inspect and address it.
