Company staff and volunteers delivered homemade meals and other essentials to underserved neighbors
Fubon Hyundai Life said on April 17 that staff visited the West Volunteer Center of the Korean Red Cross’s Seoul branch to carry out a "Hearty Meal Sharing" volunteer event.
The initiative aimed to foster a culture of giving by delivering homemade meals and other items to socially isolated residents.
The company’s volunteer team prepared ingredients, cooked side dishes with care, packaged them, and delivered the meals to elderly people living alone in the community.
The meals were prepared under the guidance of Korean Red Cross staff, with volunteers adhering to hygiene protocols.
Since 2006, Fubon Hyundai Life has maintained an all-staff volunteer corps and conducts a range of community programs each year.
The company supports these efforts through programs such as a 1:1 matching grant—matching employee donations dollar-for-dollar—and a payroll-rounding program that collects spare change from paychecks to fund community initiatives.
A company representative said, “Though modest, we organized this volunteer activity in the hope it would provide a warm meal to isolated neighbors,” adding, “We will continue a variety of community initiatives with the local community and put ESG management into practice.”
