[Joynews24 reporter Jeong Ji-won] Group Cortis said they’re confident in their new single.
On April 20, Cortis held a showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to mark the release of REDRED, the lead single from their second mini-album, GREENGREEN.
Cortis’s new single REDRED serves as the starting point of a journey in which the group steps away from conventional standards and rules to explore their own tastes and direction. Built on gritty synthesizer textures, the song pairs a catchy rhythm with a raw, immediate sound.
When asked whether he felt confident about the track, Martin said, “If I had to put it into words, I’m certain it will do well. When I first heard it—when the second verse’s lyrics begin and the bass from the first verse comes in—I got goosebumps. The song has a heat and a simmering intensity that never grows stale; it’s been a favorite since I first heard it.”
Seonghyeon added, “All five of us participated in the song, so it better reflects our tastes. We’re excited to show a new side of ourselves. Please give us your support.”
