[MyDaily — Kang Da-yoon] NCT's Taeyong is showcasing an impressive range across genres.
Taeyong's first full-length album, WYLD, is set to arrive at 6 p.m. on May 18 across streaming platforms. The record features 10 tracks, including the title song "WYLD."
One standout, "Hypnotic," fuses jazz and breakbeat into a loose, freewheeling hip-hop track. Over a beat built from lo-fi piano textures, weighty bass and driving drums, Taeyong delivers an infectiously catchy hook.
"Run" is a kinetic pop-and-alternative-rock number propelled by racing drums, crisp claps and aggressive overdriven riffs. Taeyong's clear, open vocals ride a nostalgic band sound, while retro touches and futuristic arpeggiated synth lines are woven together with careful precision.
Taeyong's debut full-length album WYLD will also be issued in physical form on May 18.
