[The Public = Reporter Yoo Su-jin] On March 25, KORAIL Distribution’s 'Seoul Station' traditional liquor scored a win at the 2026 Korea Liquor Awards, underscoring its quality and market appeal.
Now in its 13th year, the Korea Liquor Awards—hosted by ChosunBiz—is a national tasting competition that spotlights outstanding traditional spirits and promotes a responsible drinking culture.
Launched in February, 'Seoul Station' is crafted with surabae, a Seoul specialty, and has drawn steady consumer attention since its debut.
The product took top honors in the traditional liqueur category, praised for its flavor, finish, and commercial competitiveness.
The packaging channels Seoul’s heritage: the bottle label features an illustration of the old Seoul Station building, and the paired set of two dedicated glasses echoes that same outline for a cohesive, stylish presentation.
Priced at 33,000 KRW (approximately $24.75), the set is available at Storyway convenience stores in the concourses of Seoul Station and Yongsan Station, as well as at Korea Train Mates, the specialty shop for railroad goods.
Yang Woong-sik, head of KORAIL Distribution’s Goods Biz TF, said the award is especially meaningful because it validates the quality of a traditional liquor introduced through station retail spaces and adds credibility. “We will continue developing standout products that connect local communities with the railway to build customer trust and strengthen our railway-goods lineup,” he added.
