Beauty brand Elizabeth Arden announced on the 6th that it will launch two new items: Green Tea Strawberry Basil Eau de Toilette and Green Tea Strawberry Basil Honey Drops Body Cream.
The Eau de Toilette opens with a bright wild strawberry note layered with fresh basil. Birch's woody accents follow, and the scent settles into the brand's signature green tea accord.
Rodrigo Flores Ruga, Givaudan's senior perfumer and vice president, led the fragrance creation. \"To give green tea's freshness a natural, upbeat lift, we layered strawberry, basil and a herb-garden accord,\" he said.
The matching Green Tea Strawberry Basil Honey Drops Body Cream is enriched with cocoa butter. Its lightweight, non-sticky formula blends green tea with honey-drop notes and uses Givaudan's MoodScents technology. Elizabeth Arden says the cream provides up to 24 hours of hydration.
Amber Garrison, president of Elizabeth Arden Fragrance, added, \"We launched the eau de toilette and body cream together so consumers can experience the scent in a more layered, dimensional way.\"
Elizabeth Arden traces its roots to 1910, when founder Elizabeth Arden opened the Red Door salon on Fifth Avenue in New York. From the 1920s onward, she was also known for promoting sunscreen use, yoga and proper hydration.
