By Go Nari, EPN Enpinow — Hyeri attracted attention after revealing practical ways she trims everyday expenses.
In a video posted April 22 on Cosmopolitan Korea’s YouTube channel, Hyeri outlined several personal frugality tips. She said she doesn’t toss the toothbrushes handed out on airplanes after a single use; instead, she saves and reuses them several times.
She added that she often puts disposable toothbrushes into a portable sterilizer and uses them again. A single charge, she noted, can last a long time, making the device especially handy. Hyeri emphasized that she routinely avoids discarding ordinary consumables as part of her cost-saving routine.
Hyeri, born in 1994, is 31. She debuted with Girl’s Day in 2010, released several hit songs and later expanded into acting. After her first role on SBS’s Delicious Life in 2012, she gained widespread recognition for playing Sung Deok-sun on tvN’s Reply 1988.
She is preparing her next project, starring as Joo I-jae in ENA’s A Dream for You, where she will appear opposite actor Hwang In-yeop.
Hyeri’s real estate holdings have also drawn scrutiny. She owns two buildings in Seoul’s Gangnam district — one in Samseong-dong and another in Yeoksam-dong — with a combined purchase price of about ₩12.1 billion (approximately $9.08 million). She bought the Samseong-dong property in 2022 for ₩7.75 billion (approximately $5.81 million), demolished the existing house and rebuilt it with two basement levels and six floors above ground. The Yeoksam-dong building was purchased for ₩4.39 billion (approximately $3.29 million) and later remodeled. Market estimates put the combined appreciation of the properties at at least ₩6.0 billion (approximately $4.5 million), fueling additional interest.
