Gongyoung Home Shopping is boosting its content offering with a new fashion show powered by artificial intelligence.

The company said it will debut Fashion Palomi (美), an AI-led fashion program, airing at 7:15 a.m. every Friday starting April 3. The show features an AI model acting as a virtual influencer who styles products from small and midsize fashion brands.

By using AI’s ability to transcend time and place, the show will present a wide variety of looks and creative staging that set it apart from traditional home shopping. AI is integrated across production—not just for the model, but also in studio direction, video, and music. The team designed the media wall like a flagship store and used AI-generated backgrounds and soundtracks to heighten the viewing experience.

They’ll also produce short-form clips featuring the AI model and post them on YouTube and other online platforms, creating more touchpoints for consumers to discover small-business products.

The premiere will feature Georim Industry’s Comfystone Merino Wool Sneakers. To celebrate the launch, mobile orders receive a 10% discount, and an app event will raffle off coffee coupons to participants.

Gongyoung Home Shopping set up a dedicated AI content team in January and has accelerated efforts to expand its AI-based services. The company says it’s focused on improving production efficiency and delivering fresh shopping experiences.

A Gongyoung Home Shopping spokesperson said, "Adopting AI has created an environment where we can bring a wider range of ideas to life. We plan to transform the consumer experience with distinctive content and help small businesses reach new customers."

Meanwhile, to mark Fishermen's Day (April 1), Gongyoung Home Shopping is teaming up with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries for a special Korea Fisheries Expo. Through April 7, the online mall and mobile app will offer 20% off seafood coupons and discounts on key items like squid, gulbi (dried yellow croaker), cutlassfish, mackerel, and laver (seaweed).

The company will also promote seafood sales across channels with a special broadcast of the seafood program Bada Eobu (Sea Fisher) and on-site mobile live-commerce broadcasts via Gongyoung Labang.
