Police launched an investigation after the body of a man in his 50s was found inside a house in Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province.
According to Yeonggwang Police Station, officers discovered the man—identified only as A, in his 50s—dead at a residence in Yeonggwang-eup, Yeonggwang County, at around 1:30 p.m. the previous day.
A friend who said they had been unable to reach A for an extended period visited the home and reported the situation to police. Officers found A’s body inside the house and said it showed signs of decomposition.
Officials said A’s registered residence was in Suncheon, but that he had been staying in Yeonggwang temporarily for day-labor work. Police reported no signs of foul play and plan to perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
