(The CEN News / Reporter Ahn Chae-bin) President Lee Jae-myung issued a congratulatory message to Kim Yoon-ji after she won four medals at the 2026 Milan–Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Paralympics.

On March 14, he posted on Facebook, noting her fourth medal and praising her remarkable performance in her Paralympic debut. He said she had \"set a new record for the most individual medals at a single Games.\"

Kim captured gold in the women's biathlon 12.5 km, becoming the first Korean woman to win a gold medal at the Winter Paralympics. She added three silver medals — two in cross-country skiing (sprint and interval start) and one in the women's biathlon sprint pursuit (sitting). The 19-year-old secured four medals in her first Paralympic appearance. On March 15, she is scheduled to compete in the cross-country skiing 20 km interval start.

The president encouraged Kim to deliver her best in the remaining events. He also offered warm praise and applause to the mixed wheelchair curling four-person national team after they finished fourth following a closely contested round.
