Provides a wide range of veterans' cultural information, including videos, photos, records, educational materials, exhibitions and events
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs launched the Comprehensive Veterans Culture Portal on the 11th, consolidating videos, exhibitions and educational materials that were previously scattered across its headquarters and affiliated agencies. On the 10th, the ministry said that veterans-related videos, exhibitions, photos, records and educational resources — including offerings from the Nara Sarang Learning Center, memorial facility information services, national cemeteries such as Seoul and Daejeon, the Independence Hall and the Provisional Government Memorial — had been hosted on separate agency websites. That fragmentation forced users to visit multiple sites to find materials, but the new portal (https://culture.mpva.go.kr) is expected to significantly reduce that inconvenience.
The portal lets users search by material type, topic, era and region and presents integrated content results. It also links to the originating institutions’ websites so users can access full, detailed materials. Beyond unified search, the portal employs artificial intelligence (AI) to recommend content based on users’ interests, enhancing usability.
The ministry plans to promote the portal through online and offline channels in cooperation with central government agencies, local governments, veterans’ organizations and related institutions to encourage widespread public use. Minister Kwon O-eul said, “The Comprehensive Veterans Culture Portal brings together dispersed records and content into a single platform, allowing anyone to conveniently search for and access veterans-related information without time or location constraints.”
