On the 10th, the Daegu Regional Tax Office signed an agreement with Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province to identify households in crisis—including those with tax delinquencies driven by basic subsistence needs—and provide tailored support.
The three agencies agreed to cooperate in expanding welfare services for delinquent taxpayers who are struggling to make ends meet and to establish support systems to help them regain financial stability.
The Daegu Regional Tax Office’s tax-arrears unit will identify eligible delinquent taxpayers, and Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province will administer the tailored welfare benefits.
