QWER will release its fourth mini-album, 'CEREMONY,' at 6 p.m. on the 27th across major streaming platforms. The title track, 'CEREMONY,' is an uplifting anthem that celebrates a vow to break free from societal constraints and live authentically. It pairs the band's signature rock-driven sound with a hopeful, affirmative message.
The music video shows the four members stranded in a surreal, otherworldly space as they struggle to return to their own worlds. The mini-album features five tracks in total, including 'BAD HABIT,' 'Bani Bani,' 'Our Voyage,' and 'PIONEER.'
'CEREMONY' closes QWER's first chapter and marks their leap into the next phase. Built around the concept of a "ceremony" (represented by the character 式), the album follows the group's search for a collective identity and the members' parallel journeys of individual self-discovery. All members contributed to the songwriting, highlighting their musical range.
QWER formed as a four-piece girl band through the 'Favorite's Children' project conceived by creator Kim Gyeran, and observers cite them as a successful example of blending new-media platforms with subculture.
