Belift Lab announced on March 10 via fan platform Weverse that “Heeseung will become independent from the ENHYPEN team.”
ENHYPEN debuted in 2020 through Mnet’s audition series I-LAND. In January they released the mini-album THE SIN: VANISH, and they recently wrapped their world tour, WALK THE LINE.
Belift Lab said, “We held in-depth discussions about each member’s future and the group’s direction. During that process, we confirmed that Heeseung has a clear musical vision, and we decided to respect it.” The label added that the move “will provide a new opportunity for both ENHYPEN as a group and Heeseung as a solo artist.” ENHYPEN will continue official activities as a six-member unit, while Heeseung plans to pursue solo work.
On Weverse, Heeseung wrote, “The past six years have been overwhelmingly precious — filled with moments I can’t fully put into words. There were so many things I wanted to show, but I didn’t want to let my personal ambitions come before the team. I will work hard to prepare so I can meet you all again soon.”
