[iNews24 reporter Lee Yong-min] Um Young-ha, CEO of Stemco Co., drew attention after donating the proceeds from sales of his personal books.
The Chungbuk Community Chest (Chairman Lee Min-seong) announced on the 20th that Um donated ₩10,000,000 (approximately $7,500).
The donation came from sales of his recently published books, 'The Path to a Strong Company' and 'Safety Management Practice GUIDE.'
The funds will support a book-assistance program aimed at improving reading environments for children and teens who use local child-care centers across the province.
At the donation ceremony, Um said, \"I decided to donate because I want the knowledge and experience I gained from books to come back to children. I hope this helps them dream bigger and grow.\"
Drawing on his hands-on experience with safety and innovation in manufacturing, Um's books have been recognized as practical safety-management guides for executives and frontline managers.
