Changwon City announced a special celebration for visitors and members of its local food direct market to mark Family Month this May.
Running 10 days—from May 6 through May 15—the event will showcase curated gift sets, discounts on fan-favorite items, and carnations offered at special prices.
Some 31 vendors will participate, offering roughly 76 items with savings of up to 20%.
Officials say the specially priced carnations—timed for Parents’ Day and Teachers’ Day—offer an easy, heartfelt way to thank family, friends, and colleagues. The promotion is also intended to ease the pinch of high prices for shoppers while boosting sales of Changwon’s local agricultural specialties.
Kang Jong-sun, head of the Changwon Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We hope everyone enjoys a joyful May with their loved ones. We will continue promoting the value of local food and creating events that help consumers and producers thrive together.”
