Jeongseon Bread, which recently grabbed attention on a TV show, is debuting a limited-edition release.
On the 12th, Jeongseon County in Gangwon will host a pop-up at Jeongseon Arirang Market to sell the bread.
Pastry chef Lee Kyung-mu—who earned rave reviews from the judges on the TV series 'Cheonha Baking'—will be there in person.
Only 300 Jeongseon Bread three-piece sets will be sold, each crafted to tell a piece of Jeongseon's story.
Jeongseon Bread reinterprets the county's rich resources and history with a modern sensibility.
The set includes three items: Hongsu, which captures the bright flavor of Jeongseon apples; Heukgeumsu, inspired by the area's former gold and coal mines; and the Auraji Cookie, made with Jeongseon gondeure (a local wild green) and designed to evoke the gentle ripples of the Auraji stream.
Shin Won-seon, head of Jeongseon County's tourism division, said, "We will explore and confirm the potential to develop a variety of local tourism products that reflect regional character. We hope Jeongseon Bread, alongside existing specialties like Jeongseon apples and gondeure, will become a new signature product that tells our region's story."
