Musinsa started in 2001 as an online community called Mujinjang — the Place With Lots of Shoe Photos — where people who loved shoes gathered. It has since grown into South Korea’s leading fashion platform, but that original name still has legendary cachet.
Musinsa Kicks carries that legacy across roughly 340 pyeong (about 12,100 sq ft), spreading shoe-centric content over three floors as a curated footwear destination.
The first thing that grabs your attention at Musinsa Kicks is the Shoe Wall — an entire wall covered in kicks. But the real magic is how you shop.

The first floor, Musinsa Run, is a pilgrimage site for the running crews that have taken off recently. It gathers everything from everyday joggers to high-performance trainers built to shave seconds off your PR.
On the second floor, Next Outdoor, you’ll find trekking shoes and on-trend backpacks and hats to complete a gorpcore look. Don’t skip the Back & Cap Club — it answers the age-old question, “What do I wear with these shoes?” in one stop.
The third floor, Rising Brands, showcases the loafers and boots that are currently hot on Musinsa, plus early drops from up-and-coming brands handpicked by Musinsa.
To celebrate the grand opening, Musinsa Kicks Hongdae will roll out limited-edition releases sure to turn heads among sneakerheads. On opening day, the 9th, Musinsa will re-release the Unaffected x Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1 — the sneaker that sold out on Musinsa in just 10 minutes last November. On the 10th, Vans will drop a limited LX Old Skool 36 – Souvenir Warm Brown.
Also, for one day only on the 9th, the store will sell a limited number of Super Bags — surprise assortments of popular in-store items — for 49,900 KRW (about $37.43) on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Musinsa spokesperson said, “Musinsa Kicks Hongdae brings together Musinsa’s authenticity around shoes, our curation expertise, and platform technology. We hope it becomes a new landmark for shoe lovers visiting Hongdae.”
