A scene of actress Yoon Seung-ah crying as she remembered her dog, who died of lymphoma, drew attention online.
On March 8, the YouTube channel "Seungaroun" uploaded a video titled "The Reasons for My Happiness These Days, Seung-a's Daily Life."
In the clip, Yoon Seung-ah brings her husband, Kim Moo-yeol, and their young son to a brunch spot in Huam-dong, Seoul, to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
The couple smiled as their son, with tiny hands, tore into a loaf almost as big as he was.
After the meal, the boy, thrilled by the candle in front of him, hummed the birthday song and drew laughs from those around him.
A standout moment shows Yoon receiving an unexpected gift from a friend and breaking down in tears. The on-screen caption reads, "A friend gave me a key ring that looks just like Bambi." Bambi was Yoon’s dog, who died in August 2023 after a two-year battle with lymphoma.
At that moment, the couple’s 4-year-old son, Won-i, touched viewers by wiping his grieving mother’s tears. Holding a tissue in his small hand, he casually dabbed her eyes, prompting the room to burst into laughter.
After the video went public, viewers left sympathetic comments such as "my heart hurts" and "I felt choked up," offering condolences for the loss of her pet. Others praised the boy, writing "he’s so cute" and "I laughed so hard watching him tear into that loaf."
