KBS 2TV’s variety show '1 Night 2 Days Season 4' (hereafter '1 Night 2 Days') kicks off its 'Time Capsule Race' in Cheongdo County, North Gyeongsang, with a five-member first installment.
When the team opens a mysterious capsule they find on the ground, they suddenly land in the 1990s. Their outfits instantly switch to retro fashion, and the cast throws itself into committed skits to fully sell the time-slip concept.
Back in the 1990s, the five record video messages to their future selves. In a prank aimed at the youngest member Yoo Seon-ho—who wasn’t even born in the 1990s—DinDin teases him, “Love will find you in 2026,” leaving Yoo Seon-ho blushing, according to sources.
The members also tackle a 'turn-of-the-century hot-topic' quiz that rattled the 1990s. Kim Jong-min, fully absorbed in the game, shocks the set with the outlandish answer “Even XX has a bumper harvest,” leaving everyone stunned. Viewers will be left wondering exactly what he said that even unsettled his teammates.
What seemed destined to end in the 1990s unexpectedly catapults the group back to the Silla dynasty. Lee Joon, his immersion broken by the sudden time-slip, snaps at production: “How much longer do I have to keep acting?”
