Actor Park Shin-yang pushed back on rumors that he intentionally skips awards ceremonies.
On March 10, he appeared as a guest on the Tuesday interview segment of KBS 1TV's Morning Yard.
Asked whether the talk that he avoids awards shows was true, he replied, "That's not the case." He went on candidly: "When I go, they're too long and dull. I have to sit through them, it gets cold, and I find myself thinking, 'I wish I could just go and paint.'" His frankness drew laughter.
Park added that while he generally steers clear of such events, he enjoys doing things like book talks. When the hosts asked his impression of Morning Yard, he answered immediately, "I love Morning Yard," eliciting more laughter.
