Park Nam-jung personally explained why he left the entertainment industry and offered updates on his daughters.

Park Nam-jung, a singer who rose to prominence in the late 1980s, spoke candidly about his life and family.
Fans were particularly interested in his two daughters. Eldest daughter Park Si-eun performs as a member of idol group STAYC, while his younger daughter, Park Si-woo, is preparing for an acting career. The family recently appeared together on tvN STORY's My Child's Romance.
Park said, \"While I was taking a break from show business, my daughter was born in 2001. People were curious about the baby, so I appeared on TV and resumed my activities from that point.\"
About his younger daughter, Park Si-woo, he said, \"She began practicing on her own, submitted applications to schools, and was accepted to five universities for acting.\"
He added with pride that she was admitted to the acting department at the Korea National University of Arts and joked that she missed the Chung-Ang University exam after going to the wrong campus. He also noted that his eldest daughter is currently studying acting at Chung-Ang University.
Park also reflected on his heyday. \"At that time, there were almost no male solo dance singers, so I had little competition. That helped me rise more easily,\" he said.
But he acknowledged the toll that fame took. \"After my contract ended, I decided to quit. I suffered so much stress that I had to go to the hospital. I felt like I had no personal life,\" Park confessed.
\"Back then, I didn't appreciate what I had. I thought releasing a song would automatically put me at No. 1. Looking back, I regret that,\" he said. Park added that he plans to continue performing only through this year and indicated that he is effectively stepping back, saying, \"My body can't keep up anymore.\"
Park married former model Heo Eun-joo in 1999. They have two daughters: eldest daughter Park Si-eun of STAYC and younger daughter Park Si-woo, an aspiring actress.
