[Sports Seoul | Reporter Wi Su-jeong] TV personality Jo Se-ho offered a wry, self-deprecating update about his life on a recent variety show.

On March 9, Netflix’s variety series Do Driver: The Rival Season 4 posted a clip on its official channel showing members staging an election for class president.

In the video, Jo — running as a candidate — introduced himself by joking that he had “relatively more free time than you,” drawing laughs from the group. He added that he could handle personal tasks others might not have time for, listing things like bank errands, household chores and accepting packages.

“I can pick up packages and deliver them to you, and I’ll be available to answer calls anytime,” Jo said. “If you’re busy, I’d appreciate you using me as a resource.”

When fellow personality Hong Jin-kyung asked, “Can you be a designated driver in the evening, too?” Jo replied, “Absolutely. Call me and I’ll come running,” prompting more laughter.

Jo also appeared in the clip with makeup styled to evoke a high school student. When Kim Sook asked, “Have you been crying a lot lately? Your face looks swollen,” Jo acknowledged, “I’ve had some personal issues recently,” a remark that drew attention.

Earlier, Jo stepped down from major variety programs such as You Quiz on the Block and 2 Days & 1 Night after rumors surfaced linking him to organized crime figures.

At the time, he denied the allegations, saying, “I never received money or gifts, and I’m not involved financially or in business with them. They are acquaintances I met while hosting events; we occasionally check in and have meals together.” He added, “I felt it was right to step down from the programs because I appear to have disappointed many people,” and issued an apology. wsj0114@sportsseoul.com
