Debut Showcase of UNCHILD: How ‘PUNK SCHOOL’ Redefines Gen Z Music Culture

[TV Daily Reporter Cha Ah-young] K-pop group UNCHILD held a debut showcase on the afternoon of April 21 at Blue Square in Seoul’s Yongsan district to mark the release of We Are UNCHILD.

At the showcase, members Park Ye-eun, Hiki, Tina, Ako, Ibon and Na Ha-eun answered questions from reporters.

UNCHILD’s debut single, “UNCHILD,” reimagines the familiar school setting as a “Punk School,” channeling Gen Z’s taste for uninhibited self-expression. The song pairs bold neon color contrasts with a quirky, offbeat “freaky” mood and uses a defiant green-frog motif to underscore the group’s distinctive identity. The new single was released at 6 p.m. on the 21st across major streaming platforms.
