Veteran actor Choi Bul-am's representatives pushed back on recent reports about his health.

On March 10, a representative told multiple entertainment outlets, \"Recent coverage made it sound as if he were seriously ill, but that's not the case.\"
On Feb. 19, MBN's 'Exclusive Scoop' aired footage of Im Hyun-sik meeting with Park Eun-su. While discussing health, Park remarked, \"Some of the older actors are passing away, and Choi Bul-am isn't well right now. The seniors aren't in good health.\"
On March 8, Baek Il-seop appeared on MBN's 'Altoran' and spoke about his longing for the late Lee Soon-jae, who died last year. He said, \"I keep feeling empty,\" and added, \"(Choi) Bul-am hasn't been in contact. He isn't answering his phone. I can't keep prodding him — I'm worried.\"
As public concern mounted, Choi's representative clarified that he has been recovering from back problems. \"He underwent surgery for a herniated disc last year and is continuing rehabilitation,\" the rep said.
Choi stepped down from KBS 1TV's 'Korean Table' last year.
