Comedian Park Se-mi, who rose to fame with the \"Seojun Mom\" character, opened up about her wish to marry and start a family.
On the March 24 episode of the YouTube program New Women, Park said, \"I really want to get pregnant. I had my ovarian age tested and it came back 24 years old.\" She added, \"When I see children, I don't just think they're cute — I actually think, 'I wish that child were mine.'\"
Her candid remarks naturally shifted the conversation to marriage. Born in 1990, Park is 36 this year. She told the hosts she wants to marry and have children, but also admitted she still has strong professional ambitions.
When Park said, \"I'm still a rookie. When work comes in I have to row hard, and I might be more selective about jobs,\" Jo Hye-ryeon responded, \"You can't miss the right time for your body. When the moment comes, you'll know what's right for you — don't worry too much.\" Lee Kyung-sil surprised Park by noting, \"(Kim) Ji-seon worked until three days before she gave birth. I returned to work four weeks after I had my child.\"

Park described the husband she hopes for as \"a kind man who will share childcare duties. My dream is to raise children together with my husband.\" Lee advised, \"He should be kind and considerate, but he should also be financially stable.\" When Park asked whether someone from a well-off family would be acceptable, Lee replied firmly, \"He should have his own work; I wouldn't recommend someone who doesn't.\"
Jo added that Park's ideal partner should be \"kind to me and my family. He should treat people well and take care of his body instead of neglecting it.\"
That day, Park also revealed she recently had rhinoplasty, recalled that she began dieting in her mid-20s to pursue comedy and lost 20 kg, and shared the behind-the-scenes story of how Seojun Mom was created.
She said she once imagined marrying her close friend Lee Sun-min, joking, \"I thought I might be blinded by money and could appear with him on shows like Same Bed, Different Dreams or The Return of Superman.\" She added, \"But I gave up because there wouldn't be any physical intimacy,\" a comment that left Lee Sun-min embarrassed.
