Gwangju Shinsegae is kicking off a spring refresh with a lineup of new stores covering sportswear, youthful fashion, and home goods.

On March 17, Gwangju Shinsegae opened a Dr. Martens shop at Place Spot. Known for its timeless, iconic designs, Dr. Martens draws fans of all ages—from teens to older adults.

The store showcases a range of styles, including the signature 1460 boots, and is offering a 10% opening discount on most items through April 12 (some exclusions apply).

Also on March 17, Wiggle Wiggle reopened after a makeover. The lifestyle brand, loved for its playful bursts of color, has become a favorite among Millennial and Gen Z shoppers.

Gwangju Shinsegae’s Wiggle Wiggle now carries a broader selection—homewear, bath accessories, and décor pieces—and is running discounts up to 60% through April 12 to celebrate the relaunch.

Skechers, synonymous with comfort, expanded its footprint at the mall following strong customer demand. At this location, Skechers’ January–February sales hit nearly 150% of target, reflecting its wide appeal.

To mark the remodel, Skechers is offering 10% off through March 29 and will gift sports socks to customers who spend 200,000 KRW or more (about $150). Gifts are available in limited quantities and the promotion may end early.

On March 20, premium kids’ lifestyle brand Apricot Studio will open its first location in the Honam region on the sixth floor of Gwangju Shinsegae’s main building.

Apricot Studio is known for its stylish design and high quality—new drops often trigger long lines and quick sellouts—and the brand’s loungewear and bags are especially popular.

To celebrate the opening, Apricot Studio at Gwangju Shinsegae will preview summer arrivals for shoppers and offer 10% off its signature loungewear.

After launching the fashion and lifestyle curation store EE Place in February, Gwangju Shinsegae says it will keep attracting new brands based on customer demand.
