[Herald Economy=Reporter Son Mi-jeong] K-fashion turned heads in Paris, proving it’s a creative powerhouse on the global stage.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on March 10 that they hosted Concept Korea 2026 F/W at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo on March 2 and 3. Three Korean designer brands—KIMHĒKIM, RE RHEE and BONBOM—used the platform to debut new collections to an international audience.

Concept Korea is a development program aimed at helping promising Korean designers break into overseas markets. It supports brands in presenting new collections in major fashion capitals to strengthen their global competitiveness.

At KIMHĒKIM’s solo show on March 2, the brand celebrated its 10th anniversary with ENTER THE SPECTRUM, a collection that distilled a decade of design. Designer Kim In-tae opened with looks accented by sculptural hair pieces and clean silhouettes, then deepened the impact with sharply tailored pieces and intricate embellishments. Reviewers praised how he translated classic French couture techniques through the brand’s own sensibility, expanding its distinctive aesthetic.

On March 3, RE RHEE and BONBOM joined forces for a joint runway presentation that won praise for reframing familiar ideas through each designer’s perspective and highlighting the brands’ individual charms.

RE RHEE’s collection, titled Inherited, Rebuilt, reflected on tradition and continuity. Designers Lee Jun-bok and Joo Hyun-jung reimagined traditional forms to showcase the brand’s refined elegance, earning positive notes for moving beyond mere reconstruction to reinterpret heritage with a contemporary eye.

BONBOM delivered a compelling contrast with its Military & Femininity collection. Designer Jo Bon-bom balanced structured outerwear with soft fabrics and incorporated uniform-inspired details and tailoring for a fresh aesthetic. Pairing contrasting textures to create depth drew attention from local industry insiders.

Adding to the buzz, Concept Korea ambassador and singer ALPHA DRIVE ONE attended the entire event, energizing the crowd.

Yoo Hyun-seok, acting president of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, “This event reaffirmed K-fashion’s creativity and competitiveness on the global stage.” He added, “We will continue to provide systematic support so Korean designer brands can grow their presence worldwide.”
