[EPN Enpinau reporter Go Nari] Broadcaster Cool K drew attention recently when he opened up about the sprawling home where he’s living in Bangkok.
On the 21st, Cool K posted a video on his personal channel updating viewers on his life in Bangkok.
In the video he said he had planned to stay in a goshiwon — a tiny, single-room boarding house — but instead ended up in an unexpected residence of about 200 pyeong (approximately 661.16 square meters or 7,119.5 square feet).
He appears relaxed on the doorstep with a cup of coffee, saying, “Filming home content,” as he offers a glimpse of his daily routine.
Inside, a long hallway, white-toned interiors and soaring ceilings create an airy, open feel. Cool K noted the house stretches about 45 meters (roughly 148 feet) and the ceilings are about 7 meters (around 23 feet) high.
The bathroom features showers on both sides and a marble sink, lending the space a hotel-like feel. He also said the home includes six bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Explaining how he came to live there, Cool K said, “It’s not my house.” He said a friend had bought the place as a newlywed home but divorced after seven years of marriage, and when Cool K moved to Bangkok they began sharing the residence.
He said they had long been friends but hadn’t expected to become housemates. He emphasized they split costs — utilities, cleaning and garden upkeep — and said they’re satisfied with the living arrangement.
Cool K, whose real name is Kim Do-kyung, was born in 1981 and is 44 years old. He rose to public attention through various TV shows and online content. After controversy over his military service, he received a suspended prison sentence and ultimately completed his required service.
With the video, Cool K is sharing his new lifestyle in Bangkok.
