[SPOTV News reporter Kim Won-gyeom] The five-member group Ocean is launching promotions for a new single on music programs.
Ocean will appear on MBC M’s Show Champion, airing the afternoon of the 29th, to perform their new track "I'm on Your Side." The dance number pledges an ever-present devotion to the listener, pairing a rhythmic melody with earnest lyrics and showcasing the members’ smooth vocals and emotional delivery.
Earlier, during a Korean fan-meeting tour aimed at Japanese fans, Ocean surprised the crowd with an unannounced performance of "I'm on Your Side," drawing an enthusiastic response. With well-established stage manners, they plan to demonstrate their fully realized idol credentials on Show Champion.
Ocean made a splash in 2001 with their debut single "More Than Words," winning affection with evocative music and polished visuals. In 2018, their appearance on JTBC’s Two Yoo Project – Sugarman 2 reignited public interest as their longstanding talent and looks trended in real time.
Having focused on activities in Japan and built a solid international fanbase, Ocean will markedly increase domestic promotions around this new release. They said, "Through music that carries Ocean's distinct color, we want to offer listeners memories and nostalgia while engaging more actively through expanded activities."
