Actor Kim Nam-gil is making a serious move into music — not as a one-off promotional stunt, but as a full-fledged singer.
He will release his first single, "I'm Coming to You," under the stage name Coolton (K.N.G) at 12:00 p.m. on March 26 across digital music platforms.
"I'm Coming to You" showcases Coolton (K.N.G)'s explosive vocal power over a bright, hard-rock sound. The single signals the start of a string of rock-based releases planned under the Coolton moniker, and fans are closely watching Kim Nam-gil's full-scale entry into music.
Expectations are high: Rocoberry — the production duo behind hits such as Jo Jazz's "Don't You Know?," Ailee's "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow," Paul Kim's "Hello," and Gummy's "Remember Me (All My Days and Those Times)" — produced the new single.

Over the years, Kim Nam-gil has demonstrated a matured vocal technique and a resonant tone through fan meetings, musicals and original soundtracks. He earned recognition for his vocal chops with the 2010 domestic single "Can't I Love You?," the 2013 drama Yawang OST "You Don't Know," and the Japanese single "Roman."

Working with Rocoberry, Coolton (K.N.G) formally announces his new musical direction. The single "I'm Coming to You" and its music video will be available on digital music platforms starting at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th.
Kim Nam-gil will then stage his 2026 fan meeting, G.I.L, at the KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 28th, where he will deliver the song's first live performance.
