Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it struck steel and aluminum plants tied to U.S. interests across the Middle East, Tasnim news agency reported.
In a statement, the IRGC said it carried out the 90th operation of the "Promise of Truth" Phase 4 campaign, targeting U.S.-linked steel and aluminum companies in the region.
Tasnim said the strikes likely hit joint ventures in Saudi Arabia and large smelters in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain that rely on U.S. capital and technology.
Separately, AFP reported that steel mills inside Iran struck in major U.S. and Israeli air raids have halted operations entirely.
Iran's two largest steel firms, Khuzestan Steel and Mobarakeh Steel, said repeated strikes by U.S. and Israeli forces forced them to stop production.
Mehran Parkbin, deputy operations director at Khuzestan Steel, told state media Mizan that early inspections suggest it could take six months to a year to restore the damaged facilities.
Mobarakeh Steel, based in Isfahan province, said heavy bombing had forced its production lines to shut down completely.
