[EPN Enpinau reporter Go Nari] Lately, celebrities have been opening up about the brutal diets they pushed themselves through, and their candid stories are getting a lot of attention.

Lee So-ra revealed the extreme restrictions she endured during her modeling days.

On MBC's Sora and Jin-kyung, she reunited with Hong Jin-kyung after 15 years; the episode followed her bid to return to the Paris Fashion Week runway.

She said she survived two weeks eating just one can of tuna per day and took other harsh measures back then.

She recalled painfully limiting her meals—so much so that she feared the limits of her own body.

Looking back at her start in a supermodel contest, she admitted she ate only one apple a day and lost 17.6 lb (8 kg) in just 15 days, a revelation that surprised viewers.

IU also shared how she maintains her diet with very small portions.

On season 3 of Yoo In Radio last April, IU said she got through breakfast with just an apple and a handful of blueberries, underscoring how little she typically eats.

During the segment, playful banter—and a lighthearted nod to the show's sound director—kept the mood upbeat.

Sistar's Soyou has also drawn attention for her strict self-management.

Appearing on the channel Alddaldalhan Chamgyeon in March, Soyou revealed her unusual eating habits to maintain a weight of 108 lb (49 kg).

She said she never finishes noodle dishes: she'll ask friends to leave only five bites of their bibim-myeon, and she nibbles pad thai one strand at a time—tiny rituals that caught people’s interest.

These personal diet confessions have sparked both empathy and alarm among fans.
