[SPOTV News=Reporter Kim Won-gyeom] MODYSSEY, a rookie group, is demonstrating rapid momentum just one month after its debut, touring South Korea, Japan and China as part of a growing international push.
MODYSSEY (Hengyu, Pan Zeyi, Lizhao, Linlin, Suren, Yichen, Rowan) debuted on April 13 with the single "1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony." Since then, the group has appeared on numerous Korean music shows and taken their act to major overseas stages and fan events, maintaining an active presence across the region.
On the 9th, they performed their debut track "HOOK" at KCON Japan 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. Facing a packed house of international fans, MODYSSEY grabbed attention with intense choreography and high-energy performances that left a lasting impression on local audiences.
Earlier, the group launched a string of music show appearances starting on April 16 with Mnet's M Countdown, followed by performances on KBS2's Music Bank, MBC's Show! Music Core, SBS's Inkigayo and MBC M's Show! Champion. Their strong live vocals and tightly executed staging drew enthusiastic responses from fans.
MODYSSEY will continue engaging global supporters with fan signings in Shanghai on the 16th and 17th, offering another opportunity to connect directly with audiences in China. Coming off a major appearance in Japan, the group’s expanding activities across South Korea, China and Japan are drawing industry attention.
Thanks in part to a fanbase built early through Mnet's Boys Planet 2 and Planet C: Home Race, MODYSSEY was able to embark on international activities immediately upon debut. Their first-week sales exceeded 300,000 copies on the Hanteo weekly album chart (April 13–19), placing them second among 2026 debut groups — a notable milestone.
MODYSSEY said, "We are truly grateful for the opportunity to debut through the audition program and for the warm support and love we've received. We're happy to meet fans not only in South Korea but also in Japan, China and beyond. We will continue to repay your expectations with better music and performances."
