Yangpyeong County Launches Hands-On Pet Culture Education Program

Yangpyeong County in South Korea has introduced a hands-on training program aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and cultivating a more mature, pet-friendly community.

On the 24th, the county announced it will hold the Pet Culture Education Program at Yangpyeong Shija Park in May and June.

Sessions are scheduled for May 17 and June 21 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with 10 teams per session and a total of 20 teams.

Notably, Jeon Seung-woo — a trainer and YouTuber known as 8KogiNe and Yangpyeong’s promotional ambassador — will join 10 animal behavior specialists to offer one-on-one, tailored outdoor sessions and on-site behavior correction.

Applications are accepted online. The county will select participants by random lottery from households that have completed animal registration and vaccinations. Dogs with contagious diseases, highly aggressive animals, and the five legally designated dangerous breeds will be excluded from participation.
