[iNews24 reporter Kang Il] The 10th Korea Children's Play Festival, held in observance of the 104th Children's Day, will take place May 2–4 for three days at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC).
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education launched the festival in 2016 as the country's first participatory play event. Since then, it has brought together students, families and community members.
This year's event, themed 'Kids, Let's Play,' will feature 57 booths in total — 40 hands-on activity booths and 17 character-development booths. The program will also include performances pairing experts with students.
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education said the event is significant because, building on 10 years of experience, it aims to broaden the educational value of play and spotlight play-based learning activities that support children's holistic development.
