Chungnam Province and the Chungnam Cultural Tourism Foundation announced a fresh offering: the Bay Valley Tour Pass’ My-Choice Landmark Package, which goes on sale online starting the 28th.
The Bay Valley Tour Pass is an ultra-regional travel product that links northern Chungnam and southern Gyeonggi into a single tourism zone. It brings together destinations across Cheonan, Asan, Seosan, Dangjin and Yesan in northern Chungnam with Pyeongtaek, Anseong, Hwaseong, Ansan and Siheung in southern Gyeonggi.
To start, the province and the foundation have launched the My-Choice Landmark Package Big2 edition.
For 15,900 KRW (about $11.93), each traveler can pick two popular attractions—one in Chungnam and one in Gyeonggi—from the 10 Bay Valley municipalities and visit them at any time within 30 days.
Purchase the pass on Naver Smart Store, then receive a mobile ticket via KakaoTalk or SMS. Present the mobile ticket at the venue entrance or ticket counter to gain entry.
Some sites require advance reservations, so check each facility’s visitor information page before you go.
To celebrate the launch, the province and foundation will offer a limited run of 1,000 Big2 tickets at a special price of 13,900 KRW (about $10.43) each.
Currently available partner venues include Cheonan Sangnok Land; Asan Rail Bike; Dangjin Sapgyoho Marine Theme Experience Center; Seosan Birdland; Yesan Naepo Bobusang Village; Anseong Namsadang Performance Hall; Hwaseong Seohaerang Cable Car; Ansan Seongam Experience Village; and Siheung Happy Health Day Wellness Campus—part of a roster of 20 sites, with more to come.
The province and the foundation said they will continue expanding partner venues to encourage wider use of the package.
\"Next month, we’ll release the My-Choice Landmark Package Big4 and Big6 editions, and we plan to introduce an all-inclusive pass by June,\" a provincial official said. \"These products are designed to boost overnight stays in the Bay Valley region, increase local spending and strengthen the area’s tourism competitiveness.\"
