Boryeong City, in South Chungcheong Province, is rolling out a special, family-friendly festival to celebrate Children's Day.
The city will mark the 104th Children's Day with a two-day celebration on May 2–3 at the Mud Expo Plaza on Daecheon Beach.
Billed under the cheerful slogan "Fun Pops! Laughter Blooms! Happy City, OK Boryeong," the event runs alongside the 2026 Boryeong·AMC International Motor Festival. At the onsite children's activity zone, families can jump into hands-on workshops and events to make sea-glass keyrings, custom keycaps, picture frames, perfume, soap, and other crafts.
The Children's Day ceremony on May 2 kicks off at 10:30 a.m. in the Boryeong Mud Theme Park Convention Hall. Pre-show acts—a K-pop dance routine and a bubble show—open the program, followed by remarks from officials, a reading of the Children's Charter, and a celebratory puppet performance titled "Leaping Inn."
Boryeong Mayor Kim Dong-il said, "We've put together a special program that blends the Motor Festival's energy with the pure joy of a children's celebration. I hope children can run and play freely and create happy memories with their parents."
