On March 30, Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo Police said they arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of aggravated threats; he is being questioned.
Police say the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. the previous day at a gas station in Dorim-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. They say A drew a weapon and threatened the driver, identified as B, after B’s car cut into the queue.
The station reportedly drew large crowds because its fuel prices were relatively low for the area.
Authorities said A did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time. Police plan to request an arrest warrant for him.
