The Incheon Jungbu Police Station organized a volunteer effort aimed at fostering a culture of community giving and improving public awareness of people with disabilities.
On April 23, the station held a "Happy Jjajangmyeon Sharing" volunteer event at the Jung‑gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled to mark the 46th Disability Day.
Chief Kim Hee-jong attended alongside 13 officers from the Crime Prevention and Response Division and 15 members of the Citizen Police Association led by Chairman Park Yun-hong. The event was hosted by the Citizen Police Association.
Notably, Mandabok, a well-known Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, donates generously each year to people with disabilities and local residents. This year it provided 250 servings of jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and fruit for attendees.
Chief Kim said, "This event gave us a meaningful opportunity to share warmth with people with disabilities, who are socially vulnerable. We will continue to be a police force that shows greater warmth and care for residents."
