
At about 4:55 p.m. on April 2, an intoxicated man in his 80s, identified as A, drove a passenger car that struck pedestrians crossing an unsignalized crosswalk on a road in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu (Bundang District), Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
Police said one man in his 80s suffered serious injuries and another man in his 80s sustained minor injuries. Both were crossing the unsignalized crosswalk at the time.
Driver A also sustained minor injuries.
At the time of the crash, A’s blood-alcohol concentration was at a level that would trigger license revocation.
Police arrested A at the scene and are investigating the precise circumstances of the crash.
